Pace of Play

There are few more controversial topics in golf today than pace of play. The challenge is to balance the interests of a widely disparate group of ages, abilities and preferences. After careful consideration by the golf committee and the Board of Directors, the following pace of play policy has been adopted. Questions or concerns relating to the pace of play policy should be addressed to the professional staff.

I. Maximum Round Time
A. 4 hours, 30 minutes for an 18 hole round, 2 hours and 15 minutes for 9 holes
B. Maximum time may be extended for tournaments contested in adverse conditions
1. Extension will be announced prior to the beginning of play
C. Slow play on the part of a guest will be the responsibility of the hosting member(s)
D. If a group finishes within 15 minutes of the group ahead it will not be in violation of the maximum round time.
E. The staff will place clocks on the golf course to assist in monitoring of pace.
F. The staff may notify groups that are off pace if feasible, but the responsibility of maintaining pace and position remains solely the group’s

II. Non-Tournament, Weekend Play
A. Starting time will be recorded by the starter
  1. Start time will be either
a. The time a group tees off if delayed by the group immediately ahead
